Alex Fletcher, President

Alex Fletcher serves as president of Fletcher Artist Management, a firm he founded in December 2009. As president, Mr. Fletcher works closely with a selective roster of classical singers, conductors, and directors. FAM responded strongly to the COVID-19 pandemic, partnering with Artist Relief Tree on an April 2020 fundraising concert that raised $9,000, and developing a new platform for subscribers called Fletcher Artist Management Entertainment (FAME), which showcases roster artists in dynamic and original programming.

Prior to the establishment of his company, Mr. Fletcher began his career at Neil Funkhouser Artists Management, where he eventually assumed the position of artist manager. A Business Member of Opera America, he has been a panelist for that organization’s “Making Connections” series in New York and Philadelphia. He has been a member of the jury for the McCammon Voice Competition in Fort Worth, Texas, the Opera Birmingham Competition in Alabama, and since 2018, regularly serves as a judge for the District and Regional levels of the the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition.

Mr. Fletcher has held internships with the public relations department of Washington National Opera and with the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra in Alexandria, Virginia. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he also studied vocal performance. He is a native of Fairfax, Virginia.


Sarah Fraser, Artist Manager

Sarah Fraser began her work with Fletcher Artist Management in 2012, and is heavily involved in the day-to-day activities of managing a flourishing roster of vocalists, directors and conductors. In this position, she benefits from her diverse background in the arts. She has recently served as a panelist for Opera America’s Career Blueprint Seminar, Feedback Auditions, and as a “Making Connections” panelist at the Glimmerglass Festival and Chautauqua Opera. She also taught a “Business of Music” class for Canto Vocal Programs NYC winter workshop.

Prior to her work in artist management, Ms. Fraser worked as a director, assistant director, and stage manager for companies including: the Castleton Festival, Opera Carolina, Opera Omaha, Chautauqua Opera, Central City Opera, Opera Manhattan, Opera Kansas, Bronx Opera, Salt Marsh Opera, and the North Shore Music Festival.

Sarah Fraser received her M.M in Opera Stage Directing from Florida State University, and a B.M. in Vocal Performance, magna cum laude, from Wichita State University. She is a native of McPherson, Kansas, and is based in New York City.


Scott Johnson, Assistant Artist Manager

Scott Johnson joined the Fletcher Artist Management team in 2015, assisting with travel, logistics, website maintenance, and day to day operations.

Before joining the FAM team, Mr. Johnson enjoyed a succesful career as an opera singer, appearing with companies including: Deutsche Oper Berlin, Teatro Regio di Torino, Florentine Opera, Central City Opera, Nashville Opera, The Milwaukee Symphony, and Opera Orlando. He was a district winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, 3rd prize winner of the Jensen Foundation Competition, and a recipient of the Richard F. Gold Career Grant from the Shoshanna Foundation.

Scott received his M.M. in Voice from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and his B.M. in Vocal Performance from the University of Southern California. He is a native of Madison, Wisconsin, and is currently based in Princeton, NJ.
